LIPA CITY – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Central officials and personnel, including selected Regional Offices personnel, participated in the Finalization Workshop of BLGF Legal-Administrative Policies at the Solano Hotel, Lipa City, Batangas, last 22 to 26 August 2022.

Officer-in-Charge Executive Director Ma. Pamela P. Quizon, in an opening message, emphasized the importance of rules and procedures in meeting the expectations of the BLGF management and employees and how these improve the standards in the workplace.

“Rules and procedures are important as they help clarify and reinforce the standards expected of BLGF employees and also help the management, the directors and division chiefs, to manage staff effectively by defining what is acceptable and unacceptable in the workplace. It sets out processes and options available for both the employees and the management”, OIC ED Quizon said.

The finalization workshop is an undertaking by the Legal Service, in coordination with the Administrative Division, aimed to update existing legal-administrative policies and manuals on Data Privacy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Grievance Machinery, Anti-sexual Harassment, Code of Conduct, Special Investigators Performance Evaluation, and Manual on Signing Authorities.

“It is expected that the finalized policies and manuals will stress the crucial role of streamlining several processes to aid the Bureau in achieving the targets and key performance metrics, at the same time, appreciate the beauty of risk management and continuous development”, Deputy Executive Director Atty. Flosie F. Fanlo-Tayag said in her closing message.

The policy manuals once finalized and approved by the BLGF Management will improve and streamline the processes of the Legal Service and Administrative Division, as part of the BLGF Quality Management System (QMS).
