The Bureau of Local Government Finance, through Executive Director Niño Raymond B. Alvina, was invited to be a panel discussant on the lessons and opportunities relative to the work carried out under the Philippine Poverty-Environment Initiative (PPEI), particularly the Environment and Natural Resources Data Management Tool (ENRDMT) and subnational finance issues. The meeting was held at the UN Office in Nairobi, Kenya last 23-28 June 2018.

The meeting was participated by government and private practitioners to discuss how private and public finance flows across borders and within countries to address development issues. While the meeting focused on African issues, it covered global trends coming from the private and public finance and investment experts and stakeholders of different countries, including the Philippines.
