MANILA CITY – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Central and Regional Directors, Local Treasury and Assessment Officers, Financial Analysts, and Special Investigators, participated in the Online Refresher on the Computation of LGU Fiscal Sustainability Scorecard via Zoom last 11 August 2022.  

OIC Executive Director Ma. Pamela P. Quizon, in an opening message emphasized the importance of data cleaning in the preparation of statistical data.  

“We must root out errors because we’re using our statistics to develop sound local fiscal policies”, Quizon said.  

The online refresher course covered the LGU FSS and the Local Government Financial Performance Monitoring System (LGFPMS).  

“Remember well what you have learned and let us continue striving to excel in our work”, Local Fiscal Policy Service (LFPS) Director Brenda L. Miranda said in a closing message.  

The LGU Fiscal Sustainability Scorecard is a regular assessment conducted by the BLGF Central Office which aims to assess the fiscal and financial management performance of local government units (LGUs) in the areas of local revenue generation capacity, expenditure management, local collection growth, updating of Schedule of Market Values (SMVs), and compliance with reportorial requirements of treasurers and assessors with the Department of Finance (DOF) and the BLGF.
