Pagadian City – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Executive Director Consolacion Q. Agcaoili, together with Pagadian City Mayor Hon. Samuel S. Co, Parañaque City Treasurer Dr. Anthony L. Pulmano, and BLGF Regional Office No. IX Acting Regional Director Brenda L. Miranda, lead the inauguration ceremony of the new regional office of the BLGF Regional Office No. IX, President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Government Center, Balintawak in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

In her keynote message, Executive Director Agcaoili expressed her gratitude to the Department of Finance (DOF) for the support in completing the regional office designed for better delivery of services to the local treasurers, assessors, and stakeholders.

BLGF Regional Director Miranda thanked and recognized her predecessors who oversaw the construction of the office from start to its completion, BLGF Regional Office No. CARAGA Regional Director Melvin Joy L. Yu and retired BLGF Regional Director of Regional Office No. IX Gilbert B. Gumabay.

The new and permanent office of the BLGF Regional Office No. IX is the 22nd regional office building inaugurated out of the 34 regional offices that have been established at the Regional Government Center of Pagadian City. The appropriation for the construction of the said building was approved in 2022, and the ceremonial groundbreaking was held on March 11, 2022.

The new building will continue to be a hub in providing quality service and assistance to the BLGF’s clientele, the local government units (LGUs), taxpayers, and the public.

The said ceremony was also attended by the BLGF Regional Directors Ms. Erwina Grace P. Morales (RO CAR), Ms. Marilou Q. Cañete (RO Mimaropa), Ms. Anastacia R. Llaneta (RO V), Ms. June Ann C. Abella (RO BARMM), and former OIC Regional Director of BLGF RO IX, Ms. Patricia Mar.
