The Seal of the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) symbolizes the BLGF’s mandate, vision, mission, goals, and objectives as a focal agency on local government finance, and the technical arm of the Department of Finance (DOF) in supervising the revenue operations of all local government units (LGUs) in the country.

In representing the BLGF’s zeal to improve local finance and empower LGUs toward nation-building and socio-economic development, the Seal of the BLGF features its enhanced and stylized elements to keep abreast with official government emblems.

Inside a single marginal circle are the BLGF’s text print of the official name and founding year, separated by hexagonal bullets, and at the center is a color-filled circle with two roaring merlions bearing a shield depicting the Philippine flag to express the BLGF’s ideals in serving the country and the Filipino people.

The key and plume respectively symbolize the LGUs’ treasury and assessment services being supervised by the BLGF, functions of which in local public financial management are vital for LGUs to harness and optimize their resources for fiscal sustainability and better public service delivery.

The scroll beneath the shield marks the BLGF as an attached bureau of the DOF supporting the performance of its mandates.

Official colors used, namely: purple for wisdom and determination; golden yellow for prosperity and allegiance; red for courage and fortitude; blue for trust and responsibility; white for purity and unity; and black for stability.
