Davao City – Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Central and Regional Directors, led by BLGF Executive Director Consolacion Q. Agcaoili, participated in the 88^th Philippine Association of Local Treasurers and Assessors (PHALTRA), Inc. National Convention and Seminar-Workshop, with the theme “Empowering Interactive Local Treasurers and Assessors: Strengthening Collaborative Fiscal Management,” on February 20-23, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier, J.P. Rizal Avenue, Lanang, Davao City.

Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, and Department of Education Secretary Honorable Sara Z. Duterte, in her keynote speech, extended her warm congratulations to the local treasurers and assessors for supporting the Marcos administration’s Bagong Pilipinas brand of governance. The Vice President underscored the public servants’ oath of service, which is to forward the welfare and interests of the Filipino nation, towards fiscal sustainability, equitable development, and social justice.

BLGF Executive Director Agcaoili presented the BLGF Roadmap to Digitization and Digitalization and was also the Resource Speaker on the Administrative and Judicial Remedies to collect delinquent real property taxes.

PHALTRA, which is an association of local treasurers and assessors is an effective partner in attaining good governance and nation-building through local revenue generation and resource mobilization.
