Manila City – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Central Office officials and employees participated in the Reorientation of the BLGF Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) on 17 and 18 January 2024 at the BLGF Central Office Manila. The said activity, facilitated by Civil Service Commission (CSC) Field Office – Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Director II, Ms. Mira Michelle A. Brazil, aimed to enhance the implementation of the BLGF SPMS and empower its employees in the achievement of the strategic plan and organizational objectives. In her opening message, BLGF Executive Director Consolacion Q. Agcaoili highlighted the understanding of the mandate of the Bureau, and the linkages of the different Services and Divisions under Operations and Administration.

During the session, CSC Director Brazil highlighted the four stages of the SPMS cycle: performance planning and commitment, performance monitoring and coaching, performance review and evaluation, and performance rewarding and development planning. In closing, BLGF Local Government Units Operations Service (LGUOS) Director Ricardo L. Bobis, Jr. emphasized the importance of effectively implementing the BLGF SPMS performance commitments. Moving forward, the BLGF will revisit its SPMS to update the existing Performance Management Team (PMT), communication plan, and performance targets.
