Davao City – Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Acting Deputy Executive Director for Operations, Ms. Ma. Pamela P. Quizon, discussed the salient features of Republic Act No. 11964, with the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Board of Directors during its 17th meeting on February 16, 2024, at the Meeting Rooms 4 and 5, SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang, Davao City.  

In the said meeting, Acting Deputy Executive Director Quizon, highlighted the administrative authority of the Secretary of Finance to undertake the regular income reclassification once every three (3) years upon consultation with and recommendation from the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) on the adjustments and upgrading of income ranges of LGUs.   

Further, Ex-officio Board Member, Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, underscored the importance of a fair and inclusive socio-economic and infrastructure development in Mindanao and a people-centered approach in addressing health issues in the region.  

MinDA is the lead agency in coordinating and integrating socio-economic development efforts and initiatives in Mindanao pursuant to Republic Act No. 9996, otherwise known as the “Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Act of 2010”.
