Manila – Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Local Treasury Operations Division (LTOD) Acting Chief, Ms. Cynthia G. Faurillo, Administrative Division Acting Chief, Ms. Grace Louie M. Boongaling, and Local Debt Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LDMED) Acting Chief, Mr. Daniel C. Santos, presented the allocation of and strategies on financial resource management of local government units (LGUs), via a meeting with the professors and graduate students of the Yokohama National University (YNU), headed by YNU International Graduate School of Social Sciences professors, Dr. Hiroaki Shiga and Dr. Takaaki Kobayashi, on February 21, 2024, at the BLGF Central Office, Manila.

The YNU visit to the BLGF is part of the university’s annual academic trip in the Philippines, accompanied by its host university, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Graduate School, which intends to visit private companies and various government offices, namely, Department of Transportation (DOT), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Public-Private Partnership Center of the Philippines (PPP), Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), and Union of Local Authorities in the Philippines (ULAP).

Also present in the YNU delegation are the eight (8) graduate students, namely, Ms. Maria Hachigo, Ms. Audrey Whittle, Ms. Han Sreynet, Ms. Ethel Yamilet De Jesus Tabora, Mr. Sendoi Mushimbei, Mr. Ullah Farman, and Ms. Kokone Nakamura.
