Cavite – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Local Governance Reform Project (LGRP) Component 4 Team, in collaboration with the LGRP National Training Team, the CPRM Consultants, Inc. (CPRMCI), conducted the Workshop on the Establishment of a Baseline for the Formulation of Competency Framework for Local Assessors, on 14 to 16 December 2022, at the Hotel Casiana, Tagaytay City, Cavite, in a bid to develop a competency model for local assessors to help improve the local capacities for revenue mobilization.
In her message, Acting Deputy Executive Director Armi M. Advincula, emphasized the importance of investing in the improvement of competencies of local assessors through the LGRP.
“Combining your practices with the expectations by partners will make the Competency Model breathe to life a progressive set of behaviors we wish to use to assess our local assessors, in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes – as baselines to program targeted learning and development investments”, Director Advincula said.
Included in the 4-year loan-funded project’s expected outcomes are the development and sustainability of a professional cadre of assessors that will advance property valuation practices in the country. With the guidance and expertise of the CPRMCI, the said workshop targeted to develop a competency model and learning and development (L&D) program for local assessors and effectively operationalize the local assessors’ key functions and roles.
