MANILA CITY – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Project Management Implementation System (PMIS) and the Project Management Unit (PMU) conducted an Orientation Meeting on Local Governance Reform Project (LGRP) for all Member-Agencies of the Interagency Governing Board, in two (2) batches, held on 24 and 27 October 2022, via Zoom.

In the said meeting, the participation and commitment of the authorized representatives, alternate members, and focal persons of the Interagency Governing Board (IGB) were reaffirmed. Participants were also updated with the salient features and progress of the LGRP implementation.

The IGB is created pursuant to Administrative Order (AO) No. 40 to provide programmatic approach and oversight on the implementation and policy direction of the LGRP, a four-year project loan assisted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which aims to strengthen revenue generation and real property tax (RPT) management, improve local public service delivery, and strengthen local governance.

The first batch of the meeting was attended by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Development Group (RDG) Undersecretary Carlos Bernardo O. Abad-Santos, Assistant Secretary Greg L. Pineda, Remedios S. Endencia, Claire Michelle G. Balde, and Ma. Narcielyn R. Tanchiatco; Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Assistant Secretary Atty. Odilon L. Pasaraba; Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary for eGovernment David L. Almirol, Jr., and Undersecretary for Policy Legal Affairs Jose Vincent Salazar; League of Cities of the Philippines Executive Director Ma. Veronica C. Hitosis; and For the Women Foundation Executive Director Cathleen Ramona Wilson Ferrari.

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Deputy Commissioner Teresita M. Angeles and Assistant Commissioner Ma. Luisa I. Belen; Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Local Government and Regional Operations (LGRO) Undersecretary Wilford Will L. Wong, Assistant Secretary Rolando U. Toledo, Atty. Christine P.
