MANILA CITY – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Project Directors, Output Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders, and Support Team Focal Persons of the Local Governance Reform Project (LGRP) participated in the LGRP Monitoring and Evaluation Orientation at the Orchid Garden Suites, Manila, last 30 August 2022.
In an opening message, LGU Operations Service (LGUOS) Director and LGRP Project Deputy Director Ricardo L. Bobis, Jr., emphasized the importance of standardized monitoring and evaluation for the success of the project.
“It is high time that we focus our energies on familiarizing and utilizing the Project Monitoring and Evaluation Tool to standardize the regular monitoring and evaluation of the physical and financial progress of the Project,” Bobis, said.
The M&E orientation is an undertaking led by the LGRP Project Monitoring and Evaluation Team (PMET) and BLGF Project Execution and Management Division (PEMD) aimed for the project team to fully understand and utilize the key concepts of M&E and the Project Monitoring and Evaluation Tool in the effective and efficient management of the Project.
“As the implementing agency of the LGRP, we are expected to sustain the momentum of the GOPs’ Land Management Reform Program. Through the M&E orientation, it is of high hopes that we have all understood how to track our KPIs and provide strategic perspective as we achieve the LGRP’s desired development results, within the allowed timeframe and resources”, Acting Deputy Executive Director and Project Deputy Director Armi Advincula said in a closing message.
The LGRP is a four-year loan project funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which aims to improve local government revenue mobilization to upscale local public service delivery and strengthen local governance.
