General Trias, Cavite – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Local Financial Data Analysis Division (LFDAD), in collaboration with the Asiagate Networks, Inc. (Asiagate), through the technical assistance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), advocated for improved data collection and information sharing through the conduct of the Training of Trainers on the Enhanced LGU Integrated Financial Tools (LIFT) System, on 22 to 25 November 2022, at the The Bayleaf Cavite, General Trias, Cavite.
Among the participants of the training-workshop were the BLGF Regional Offices’ focal persons handling Statement of Receipts and Expenditures (SRE) and Quarterly Report on Real Property Assessment (QRRPA).
In the said training, the participants were exposed to hands-on experience on the scope, purpose, and use of the LIFT system’s LGU and Central modules and applications, and in-depth technical assistance on the LGUs’ queries pertaining to the system.
In 2015, the LIFT System was developed through the European Union (EU) project entitled “Enhancement and Improvement of the Computerized Fiscal Database Systems of LGU Oversight Agencies and Public Financial Management e-Tools for Local Government Units” which paved way for the LGUs to input various types of financial data and regularly submit the SRE and QRRPA.
The training workshop was designed to familiarize the participants on the updates on version 4.0 LIFT system and prepare them for its eventual implementation to the LGU oversight agencies.
