Manila – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) represented by Ms Maria Estella R. Nacion, Information Officer III, Information Systems and Management Division (ISMD), participated in the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Public Relations Philippine Development Plan (PDP) Forum for Government Information Officers last 28 November 2022 via Zoom.

In an opening message, NEDA Secretary Arsenio M. Balicasan, emphasized the importance of collaboration among government communication teams in the success of the whole-of-government approach in development planning, and timely and accurate information to the public.

“As government information officers, you perceive the pulse of the Filipino people. Through various media and channels, you are the heralds who are crucial in ensuring that the link between the public and the government remains strong, truthful, and unbroken. As the launch of the PDP 2023-2028 approaches, we seek your thoughts and efforts to guarantee not only its effective implementation but also its successful communication to the public—our fellow Filipinos, for whom the Plan is formulated,” Secretary Balisacan said.

The said NEDA forum is part of the series of public consultations with the goal of collecting valuable insights on the enhancement of the PDP 2023-2028, which is targeted to be submitted to the President by early December 2022.

The PDP 2017-2022 is the first-medium term plan anchored on the 0-10 point Socioeconomic Agenda geared towards the Ambisyon Natin 2040 and takes into account the country’s international commitments to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
