Quezon City – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Local Fiscal Policy Service (LFPS) OIC Director Brenda L. Miranda, Policy, Planning, Programming, and Standards Division (PPPSD) OIC Chief Ms Laurice Jane P. Navarro, and Local Financial Data Analysis Division (LFDAD) Acting Chief Ms Mary Ann U. Rada,  presented the Financial Administration and Sustainability (FAS) assessment criteria to the Department of Interior of Local Government (DILG) CY2023 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) National Orientation, held on 19 April 2023, at the DILG Napolcom Center in Quezon City and via Zoom online platform.

The orientation is in preparation for the CY2023 SGLG assessment cycle through understanding the Seal’s significance, and familiarizing with the upgraded indicators, benchmarks, data gathering instruments, and actions plans for the ten (10) governance areas, namely: Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Health Compliance and Responsiveness, Sustainable Education, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, Safety, Peace, and Order, Environmental Management, Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture, and Arts; and Youth Development.

The SGLG National Orientation is conducted annually to further strengthen the performance of LGUs in the implementation of the Republic Act No. 11292 or the SGLG Act of 2019.
