The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), in partnership with the Philippine Tax Academy (PTA) conducted the first Executive Forum on Local Fiscal Management on 04-05 November 2019 at the DOF Building.

The forum aimed to offer different local officials the chance to navigate on the various domains of local fiscal administration and be updated in the requirements, sources, and judicious resource allocation in devising sustainable policies and guidelines.

BLGF Deputy Executive Director Jose Arnold M. Tan discussed the fiscal decentralization narrative of the Philippines and administering local government fiscal reforms.

Ms Brenda L. Miranda, Chief of Policy, Planning, Programming, and Standards Division discussed a brief overview of the Proposed Real Property Valuation Reform under Package 3 of the Comprehensive Tax Reform Program (CTRP) and its benefits in local governance.

The Executive Forum provided an open discussion and opportunity to acquaint and interact with local officials as one way of promoting DOF mandates of capacity building on local fiscal management.
