In a press briefing held last 04 December 2017 in Malacañang, Presidential Communications Office Assistant Secretary Kris Ablan in celebration of the first year of implementation of the Freedom of Information program cited the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) unprecedented compliance to the FOI initiative.

He lauded the quick response of the Bureau to a query of a citizen requesting for the financial report of Barangay Lower Irasan, President Manuel Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte on November 17 at 10:12 a.m. In which the request was acknowledged at 10:45 a.m, and by 11:41 a.m. the BLGF released the information to the requestor.  Assistant Secretary Ablan believes that “this has not been done, that a request made within the same day and answered within the same day”.
